Most of our members are on a prescribed BP medication and take Daily Beets alongside it. Always tell your GP at your next routine review. A few specifics worth knowing:
Statins (atorvastatin, simvastatin, rosuvastatin): the NHS atorvastatin guidance does not list any Daily Beets ingredient as an interaction. Cleanest profile of any class.
ACE inhibitors and ARBs (ramipril, lisinopril, losartan, candesartan): hibiscus has a mild additive blood-pressure-lowering effect. Manageable, not a contraindication. Stand up slowly in the first 2–4 weeks. If you feel light-headed, stop and speak to your GP.
Beta blockers (bisoprolol, atenolol, propranolol): Daily Beets doesn't act on the beta-adrenergic pathway. Standard guidance applies.
Anticoagulants (warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban): Daily Beets contains 6 mg of turmeric per dose, a culinary trace amount. The clinical bleeding-risk warnings on turmeric apply at therapeutic doses of 250–500 mg+, not at 6 mg. Still, if you're on an anticoagulant, mention any new supplement to your GP.
