Two pathwaysReason 1: Two actives working two separate routes (the reason we didn't stop at cinnamon)
Most cinnamon capsules hold one thing: ground bark. Ours holds two actives, and each one works a different way.
The Ceylon cinnamon is an extract standardised to cinnamaldehyde and polyphenols, the compounds researchers actually measure. Berberine HCl is studied for activating AMPK, an enzyme involved in how your cells manage energy.
So instead of asking one spice to do every job, you get two ingredients working side by side in one daily dose to support healthy blood sugar already within the normal range.

Doses printedReason 2: Support healthy blood sugar with a dose you can actually check
Plenty of capsules hide behind a "proprietary blend". It's legal, and it means the label never has to say how much of each ingredient went in. From the outside, a token pinch looks exactly like a proper dose.
Our bag says it plainly: 1,000mg of Ceylon cinnamon extract and 500mg of berberine HCl in every two-capsule serving. You can hold those numbers up against any study you like.
So you know exactly what you're taking. You're not paying for a label that only hints at what's inside.

Everyday wellnessReason 3: Made for normal days: the big lunch, the biscuit tin, the 3pm lull
None of those means anything is wrong. They're just an ordinary week of eating for most of us, and that's the week this is made for.
You don't have to overhaul your meals or give up the Sunday roast. Take two capsules with a meal and carry on. They're there to support everyday metabolic wellness alongside the way you already eat.
Because it asks so little of you, it's the sort of habit that's still going in a month's time, which is when consistency starts to count.

MedicationReason 4: Take prescription medicine? We'll tell you this up front
Berberine interacts with some medicines, including some for diabetes and certain statins. We'd rather you heard it from us now than found out later.
If you take any prescription medication, especially for blood sugar or cholesterol, speak to your GP or pharmacist before you start. Show them the bag: both doses are printed on it, so they can see what's inside in seconds.
It isn't meant for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for under-18s. Two minutes with them and you'll know where you stand before the first capsule.

True CeylonReason 5: It isn't the cassia sitting in most UK spice jars
Most supermarket cinnamon is cassia (Cinnamomum cassia), a more bitter bark from a different tree. It's lovely on a hot cross bun. It also carries far more coumarin, a natural compound the EFSA advises limiting.
A pinch now and then is nothing to worry about. A heaped teaspoon every morning for months is a different matter, and an odd place to end up with a habit you started for your health.
Ours is true Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum), the softer, sweeter bark native to Sri Lanka, as a standardised extract. If you already eat cinnamon every day, this is the version built for daily use.

The evidenceReason 6: What the ingredient research says, and where it stops
Published findings on cinnamon and berberine specifically, and on blood sugar research generally. The type of study is noted under each figure. These are ingredient findings, not outcomes claimed for this product.
AMPK
Berberine is studied for activating AMPK, a pathway involved in glucose uptake distinct from insulin signalling.
Systematic review, glycaemic & insulin-related traits
These are published findings on cinnamon and berberine as ingredients, and on metabolic markers generally. They are not outcomes we claim for this product, and this formula has not itself been clinically tested. This is a food supplement, not a medicine, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
That's one finding, with its caveat attached. What we can promise is that the doses are exactly what the bag says.

Who's behind itReason 7: It comes from Matter, the UK-based team behind Daily Beets
Daily Beets is ours, and we work the same way on everything: name the ingredient, print the dose, and keep the claims to what the evidence allows. Ceylon Cinnamon + Berberine follows the same rules.
It's new, so there are no reviews yet, and we won't borrow anyone else's. You've got the label instead. Every dose on this page is the dose on the bag, so you're judging the product on what's actually in it.

Questions before you order
What's the difference between cassia and Ceylon?
They come from different trees. Cassia is the more bitter bark sold as "cinnamon" in most UK supermarkets, and it carries far more coumarin, which the EFSA advises limiting. Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum) is the softer, sweeter bark from Sri Lanka. Ours is a Ceylon extract standardised to cinnamaldehyde and polyphenols.
I already eat cinnamon. Why take a capsule?
If it's from a supermarket jar, it's most likely cassia, and a teaspoon never tells you how much of the active compounds you're getting. Two capsules give you the same standardised amount of Ceylon every day, plus 500mg of berberine, which isn't in any spice jar.
Is it safe with my medication?
Berberine in particular is known to interact with some medications, including those for diabetes and certain statins. If you take any prescription medication, especially for blood sugar or cholesterol, speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting.
Why does it cost more than a jar of cinnamon?
A jar doesn't say which bark it is or how much of the active compounds are in a spoonful. This is a standardised Ceylon extract plus 500mg of berberine, with both doses printed. On the 5-bag subscription it comes to about 40p a day.
How do I take it?
Two capsules daily with a meal, as printed on the label.
How long before I'd notice anything?
Everyone's different, and this formula hasn't itself been clinically tested, so we won't put a number on it. The published research on cinnamon and berberine as ingredients generally covers several weeks of consistent daily use.
Can I cancel the subscription?
Yes. There's no minimum term and you can cancel any time. If you'd rather not subscribe at all, untick the box above the add to cart button and you'll pay the one-off price.
Is it suitable for everyone?
It isn't intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for under-18s. If you have a diagnosed health condition or take any medication, check with your GP or pharmacist first.
