Why two ingredients

One bark, one root, two separate pathways

Most cinnamon supplements are cheap cassia bark and nothing else. This is true Ceylon cinnamon standardised to its active compounds, paired with a second, well-studied active working a different route.

1Dual pathway

Two actives, two separate routes

Ceylon cinnamon's active compounds, cinnamaldehyde and polyphenols, are what the research below measures: healthy insulin response and antioxidant activity. Berberine works through a different route, activating AMPK, an enzyme involved in how your cells manage energy.

Take them together and you're covering two mechanisms in one daily dose, rather than relying on a single ingredient to do all the work.

2True Ceylon, not cassia

The bark that isn't in most supermarket jars

What's sold as "cinnamon" in most spice jars and cheap capsules is cassia (Cinnamomum cassia), a different, more bitter bark that also carries far more coumarin, a compound the EFSA advises limiting. True Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) is the softer, sweeter bark native to Sri Lanka, historically prized enough that traders once hid where it grew.

This is standardised Cinnamomum verum extract, not a pinch of supermarket cassia dusted into a capsule.

3No proprietary blend

Not a token pinch hidden inside a blend

A proprietary blend is a legal way of not telling you how little of each ingredient actually made it in. It's how a lot of "cinnamon" capsules get away with mostly filler.

Ceylon Cinnamon carries 1,000mg of standardised extract and 500mg of Berberine HCl, doses printed on the bag. Nothing hidden, so you can check our numbers against the research yourself.

4Everyday wellness

Built for the way most people actually eat

The 3pm energy dip. Feeling foggy after a big lunch. Reaching for something sweet an hour after eating. None of that means something is wrong. It's simply what an uneven day of eating can feel like, and it's the everyday territory this formula is aimed at.

Two capsules with a meal is designed to fit into a normal routine, supporting healthy blood sugar already within the normal range and general metabolic wellness. It's aimed at everyday eating patterns, not at treating a diagnosed condition.

The evidence

The research behind the ingredients

Published findings on cinnamon and berberine specifically, and on blood sugar research generally. The type of study is noted under each figure. These are ingredient findings, not outcomes claimed for this product.

−10.9 mg/dL

Average change in fasting blood glucose associated with cinnamon supplementation, across an umbrella review of meta-analyses.

Umbrella meta-analysis, interventional trials in T2D/PCOS
AMPK

Berberine is studied for activating AMPK, a pathway involved in glucose uptake distinct from insulin signalling.

Systematic review, glycaemic & insulin-related traits
>1.5g/day

Subgroup analyses suggest higher cinnamon doses tend to show a larger effect, which is part of why dose and standardisation matter.

Umbrella meta-analysis, cinnamon & metabolic disease

These are published findings on cinnamon and berberine as ingredients, and on metabolic markers generally. They are not outcomes we claim for this product, and this formula has not itself been clinically tested. This is a food supplement, not a medicine, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Your questions, answered

What's actually in it?

Two ingredients, doses printed on the bag: 1,000mg of Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) extract, standardised to cinnamaldehyde and polyphenols, and 500mg of Berberine HCl. No proprietary blend.

How is this different from the cinnamon in my kitchen?

Most kitchen and supermarket "cinnamon" is cassia, a different and more bitter bark that carries far more coumarin. This is true Ceylon cinnamon, standardised to its active compounds rather than ground bark of unknown potency.

Will it interact with any medication?

Berberine in particular is known to interact with some medications, including those for diabetes and certain statins. If you take any prescription medication, especially for blood sugar or cholesterol, speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting.

How long before I'd notice anything?

Everyone's different, and this formula hasn't itself been clinically tested, so we won't put a number on it. The published research on cinnamon and berberine as ingredients generally covers several weeks of consistent daily use.

How many capsules do I take?

Two capsules daily with a meal, as printed on the label.

Is it suitable for everyone?

It's not intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or under-18s. If you have a diagnosed health condition or take any medication, check with your GP or pharmacist first.
